Community Science Volunteer Convening
University Park, Pa. - A informational luncheon will be held for participants of the Community Science Volunteer Program to introduce the abandoned and orphan well fieldwork program. The event will be held at the Nittany Lion Inn on Saturday, January 31 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and will include a presentation by the Penn State Marcellus Center for Outreach and Research on the proceess of locating abandoned and orphan wells and a presentation by PA DEP on well plugging operations. These presentations will be followed by a tour of the Penn State Creamery and the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences Museum and Art Gallery. 

If you are unable to attend on January 31, you are still eligible to participate in the abandoned and orphaned well research activities. Please contact, Community Science Volunteer Coordinator, Genevieve Elsworth (gwe107@psu.edu) if interested in participating.
